A fully equipped dental clinic on wheels, Te Waka Niho travels across Waihōpai to deliver care where it's needed most. Our mobile unit hopes to visit marae, residential care homes, community centres and Kōhanga Reo, to provide on-site dental check-ups, basic treatments, and oral health education for the whole whānau. By bringing services directly into communities, we help remove barriers like transport, cost, and long wait times. Te Waka Niho is whānau-friendly where whānau can come as a unit to have their oral health care needs met in a relaxed, familiar setting. The mobile clinic often partners with hapori-led events, hauora days, and kaupapa Māori programmes, making dental care not only more accessible, but also more connected to who we are.
